The Library Team from Maranatha Christian University, Bandung, Visits the Adam Kurniawan Library at President University

On Wednesday, August 14th, 2024, the library team from Maranatha Christian University (Universitas Kristen Maranatha or UKM), Bandung, conducted a benchmarking visit to the Adam Kurniawan Library at President University (Presuniv). The UKM team included Vice-Rector for Resources, Ir. Olga Catherina Pattipawaej, MS, Ph.D., and library management personnel, such as Heriyanto, SS, MI.Kom, Head of the Library Technical Unit; Manuel Wilman, S.I.Pus., Head of Administration, Processing, and Preservation; and Wawan Darmawan, S.Sos., MI.Kom., Head of Public Services and Technology.

During the visit, they were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Resources, Presuniv,  Prof. Dr. Retnowati, S.Th., M.Si., the Head of the Adam Kurniawan Library, Neilany Edwina, and the Adam Kurniawan Library team. Prof. Retno mentioned, “Managing a library nowadays is very challenging, especially since many books have now shifted to digital formats or e-books.”

Meanwhile, Olga Catherina expressed her gratitude for being warmly received by Presuniv. After visiting the Adam Kurniawan Library, the UKM team continued their discussion in room A429, 4th floor of Building A, at the Presuniv Campus on Jl. Ki Hajar Dewantara, Jababeka City, Cikarang. The discussion focused on how the Adam Kurniawan Library obtained an A accreditation from the National Library, which assessed them on nine criteria. The UKM Library had previously received an A accreditation, but it was based on six criteria.
