On Monday, February 24, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM WIB, an event was held at the Pusat Daur Ulang (Recycling Center) in Desa Mekar Mukti, Cikarang Utara, Bekasi Regency, West Java. The event was collaborated Adam Kurniawan Library with President University's Center for Environment, Disaster Resilience, and Sustainability (CEDRS). Approximately 40 participants attended the event, including residents, representatives from Jababeka (the land manager of the PDU), the Preserve team from President University, and representatives from the Adam Kuniawan Library.
The event began with an introduction by the MC from the head of CDERS Dr. Ir. Yunita Ismail, M.Si., an expert in the field, then delivered a 30-minute presentation on glass waste management. Following her insightful presentation, the event proceeded with a 20-minute Q&A session, where participants could ask questions and discussed with the speaker.
The event concluded with a group photo at the recycling center, where participants were also given a chance to observe the cultivation of Mugwort, further emphasizing the importance of sustainability practices in the community. This event hope was a high awareness to purpose about waste management and environmental sustainability, benefiting both the local community and the participants. (Librarian/Windi Ayu)
