Introduction to the Digital Library, OPAC, E-Resources, and Turnitin for Medical Students

 

Faculty of Medicine, President University, May 9, 2025 — The Adam Kurniawan Library hosted a session introducing students to the digital library, OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog), e-resources, and Turnitin, a plagiarism-checking platform. The event took place in the Faculty of Medicine building and lasted approximately one hour. It featured a thorough introduction to the university’s digital academic tools, followed by a hands-on practice session in which students explored the platforms on their own devices. The event aimed to enhance students’ ability to independently access scholarly resources, correctly cite academic works, and avoid plagiarism using Turnitin. The event went smoothly, with active student participation throughout. Many students participated enthusiastically in the practice session and asked insightful questions, demonstrating their interest in mastering the digital tools necessary for academic success.
